I really cannot believe how hot oklahoma is...I am going to be crispy if I dont wear like 75 suncreen. Its the really gross kind of hott. like the muggy sweaty kind. The kind where if you wear sunscreen you sweat, and then it gets in your eyes and burns...its really wonderful.

Tomorrow we are packing up our apartment...that should be fun. Once everything is out I get to repaint my room and bathroom....which should also be fun.

adventures in egg poaching

Today I tried something new....something scary.

Poaching Eggs!!! I made like 50 because I was so proud of myself and I wanted everyone to have one. I read many how-to's online before attempting these little suckers. My favorite did not involve stirring as fast as you can, creating a "vortex" and dropping the egg in the center. That was the first one I read and I was immediately terrified. I read a few more and then stumbled upon this lovely idea. It may be wrong, but I thought it was a good place to start....So I read the instructions and here you go...

Hello Baby!

as your maker, i command you.

tv is slowly but surely consuming my life. ok maybe not slowly, more like rapidly. it has just been so long since ive had cable...everything is fascinating! i wont even tell you what shows i have been watching because it is embarrasing....but i will tell you that one of them rhymes with blue trud....im ashamed.

yesterday was a great day. i did nothing :-) this seems to be a frequent thing lately. at least im not alone. i get to sit with donnie sam mollie and sandi. then dad when he gets home. i love spending time with my family and i love spending time with andrew. we got to watch a movie together last night (andrew and myself). it is nice to find time to do little things like that. it doesnt feel like he is so far away. miss mollie had her last day of highschool yesterday!! she definitely has an old soul and was ready to be done with highschool after her first year...sounds like two other people i know....
i so love this...she wore my dress for her graduation :-)
three years later it still look good.

we had spaghetti for dinner tonight and i loooove me some basghetti. it was such a fun dinner with sandi mollie sam and my dad. we just goofed off and talked and it was great. i heard quite a few mens locker room stories, gross haha. and after dinner we were entertained by my father trying to sing really high notes on the piano. im talking screeching notes for the dogs, absolutely hilarious.

some sweet little girls came to our door tonight. they were collecting money for their teacher; whose house just burned down. they were so excited because they had already raised...$11. it was precious.
sorry guys....its just so funny.

back to tv...

I know a lot about you, dude.

Yesterday my day really was spent watching Bridezillas...but the night, now that was eventful.

I went Lazer Tagging.

Donnie calls me and up is like; hey aly, lets go lazer tagging. grab a sam and come on! So we went on our little escapade (me donnie sam and 4 other friends) and it was just one hillarious thing after another.

1. we are all adults, so lazer tagging looks really cool when its us against all the 6 year olds.
2. we were in the briefing room and the "marshall" pointed out that we were old, and that she would be watching us.
3. as soon as ms. marshall says the word beacon while she is telling us the time to exit, I felt the need to shout a lord of the rings quote...The Beacon is Lit!!!

I mean really, coolness level through the roof. Stayed out wayy late, came home, showered, and finally got in bed at 2:30.

Woke up at 6:30 in order to make it to acts on time. Sang in the two services and then met up with Dad sandi and Sam at Mimi's. Yummmmm. Came to the Edmond house, and napped for 4 hours...Niiice. Woke up just in time for...

I've already cried about 50 times. Ill post later telling you of how awesome this show is...

UPDATE***
wow. what a sweet ending. unexpected, but it shouldnt have ended any other way. i loved how open ended it and that in the end they all were together. it left everyone with a happy ending. i think that some part of me would have liked to see something different like a cliff hanger, but then the sap in me is like ooo i loved it i cried and it was all happy. ha. anyways im happy and i feel like they resolved it very well. i loved how each character had their own moment to remember special things. my favorite was definitely claire charlie and kate. i was a blubbering fool. the end.
